EVOLUTION OF NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
The term "naturopathy" was first used to describe the clinical practice of Dr. Benedict Lust. Dr. Lust integrated botanical medicine, homeopathy, nutritional therapy, manipulative therapy, acupuncture and lifestyle counseling. Dr. Lust founded the American School of Naturopathy in New York which graduated it's first class in 1902. The main principal was to treat the underlying disorder by restoring the body's own ability to heal.
